솔로 뮤지션까지 포함하면 얘기가 다른데, 마틴 로빈스가 1961년에 발표한 컨트리 곡 'Don't Worry'에 퍼즈 베이스 솔로가 들어가 있고, 로큰롤의 경우에는 우리에겐 (Oh!) Pretty Woman으로 친숙한 로이 오비슨이 1962년에 발표한 Lana에 퍼즈 베이스가 곡 전체에서 리프로 연주되었기 때문이다.
